Is there a chance for the Russians to reach the playoffs after the game with Belgium?

This format is similar to the current tournament: 24 teams divided into six groups of 4 teams, then 1/8 finals, in the history of the World and European championships met only a few times. The Euro tournament was only once like this and this is the previous championship, but there were four World Cups in this format at once and they were held in a row from 1982 to 1994.

With a high degree of probability, the Russian national team will have enough four points to qualify for the 1/8 finals. In other words, Russia needs to win one game and draw one. However, it will not be so easy to do this in our subgroup. The Finns beat Denmark with a minimum score of 1:0.

The next game will also be held in St. Petersburg at the Zenit Arena on June 16 against the Finns. We are waiting for the Russian national team in the 1/8 finals!
