Zenit coach Sergei Semak will remain in this position until 2030. In December last year, players such as Goylo, Drkusic, Mimovich, Kotina and Du Queiroz returned to the squad from loan. Maxim Glushenkov, acquired from Lokomotiv, also recovered from injury. A strengthened squad and a new coaching approach make Zenit even stronger than last year, when they confidently beat Baltika.
