The Russian Cup Final of the current season, which began in September 2024, will be held at the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow on June 1, 2025.
The Russian Cup is a traditional annual football tournament where clubs will compete for victory and possession of one of the main trophies in domestic football. It is held on a round-by-round team elimination system. The winner of the tournament will have the opportunity to meet the future champion of the Russian RPL in the Super Cup match. For the third year in a row, teams from the RPL and lower football divisions are participating in the tournament. The tournament offers two paths for participation: "RPL Path" and "Regional Path". In the "RPL Path", teams from the RPL are divided into 4 groups, and two rounds of matches are held between the participants. In total, each team has to play 6 matches in the group stage. The group leaders move to the upper bracket of the Russian Cup playoffs, the teams that take 3rd place go to the lower bracket, and the rest leave the tournament. In the "Path of Regions", amateur and Second League teams of Division "B" participate in the qualifying round, which are joined by Second League teams of Division "A" at the next stage.
The winners of this stage join 18 clubs from the First League. After that, 16 winners play one cup match each, and the 4 teams that played better than the others join the lower bracket of the Russian Cup playoffs. Then the quarterfinals begin. Teams eliminated from the "RPL Path" get into the semifinals of the "Path of Regions". Based on the results of the finals of both "paths", the winners will meet in the super final.
