The Cuba national football team is the national team that represents Cuba in international football matches. It was founded in 1930 and is governed by the Cuban Football Association.
The Cuban national team has an important place in the history of football as the first team from the Caribbean to participate in the World Cup, namely the 1938 World Cup. The team's highest position in the FIFA rankings reached 46th place in the period November-December 2006.
In March 2021, the Cuban national team was to participate in the qualifying tournament for the 2022 World Cup. For the first time in the history of the national team, several players who play in European clubs were invited to its composition, such as Joel Apestegia (San Marino), Cavafé (Spain) and Onel Hernandez , who played in England under German citizenship.
