Football Club Veles Moscow is a young but ambitious club, founded in 2016 on the basis of the Savelovskaya football school. The main goal of the club is to popularize and develop football in Russia. The club is financed by the founders, and the title sponsor is Veles Capital Investment Company.
In its first year of existence, in 2016, FC Veles Moscow took part in the Russian Championship among amateur football clubs (Division III) in the Moscow zone and took an honorable 2nd place.
The following season, 2017/18, the club earned the right to play in the PFL Championship (West group). FC Veles Moscow played its first match in professional status on July 19, 2017, meeting with the Spartak team (Kostroma) and losing with a score of 1:3. At the end of the season, the club took 4th place. The team initially played its home games at Avtomobilist Stadium at 41 Vyatskaya Street, but later moved to Spartakovets Stadium.
In the 2018/19 season, FC Veles Moscow finished 3rd. The club played two matches in the Russian Cup, but lost both, being eliminated in the first stage.
In the 2019/20 season, the club set itself the goal of reaching the FNL and successfully achieved it, taking first place in the West Group in the autumn part of the championship. In the spring, the tournament was not resumed due to the coronavirus pandemic, and the results were approved based on interim results. In the Russian Cup, the club reached the 1/32 finals, where they lost to Torpedo Moscow in a penalty shootout.
FC Veles Moscow actively engages fans on social media and is one of the PFL leaders in terms of the number of subscribers. The club also produced a reality series about the club's life, "Team," one of the first in Russian football.
