Football club Veles Moscow – This is a young but ambitious club, founded in 2016 on the basis of the Savelovskaya football school. The main goal of the club – popularization and development of football in Russia. The club is financed from the funds of the founders, and the title sponsor is Veles Capital Investment Company.
In the first year of its existence, in 2016, FC Veles Moscow took part in the Russian Championship among amateur football clubs (III division) in the Moscow zone. and took an honorable 2nd place.
The next season, 2017/18, the club received the right to compete in the PFL Championship (West group). FC Veles Moscow played its first professional match on July 19, 2017, meeting with the Spartak team. (Kostroma) and lost with a score of 1:3. At the end of the season, the club took 4th place. The tournament was not resumed in the spring due to the coronavirus pandemic; the results were approved based on intermediate results. In the Russian Cup, the club reached the 1/32 finals, where they lost to Moscow Torpedo. in the penalty shootout.
