FC Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk is not just a football club, but a real pride of the city and an example of resilience and professionalism. Founded in 1991, the club has come a long way from republican competitions to participation in the top leagues of Russian football. Neftekhimik was created at the Nizhnekamsk chemical plant in the mid-1960s and since then has not ceased to please its fans with bright victories and exciting matches.

In 1990, the club won the right to participate in the second lower league of the USSR, and already in 1991 it debuted in the Russian championship, taking 9th place out of 22 teams. Since then, Neftekhimik has repeatedly confirmed its high level, demonstrating excellent results and taking prizes in various tournaments. It is especially worth noting the successful 2019/20 season, when the team took 5th place in the FNL, despite the difficult conditions of the pandemic.

Since 2016, Neftekhimik has become an independent club, providing stable funding thanks to the support of the TAIF group of companies. The team continues to develop and strive for new heights. In the 2022/23 season, Neftekhimik took a worthy 6th place, which indicates a high level of preparation and team spirit.
