FC Kamaz

The KAMAZ football club, founded on November 11, 1981, represents the city of Naberezhnye Chelny. This club has a rich history and significant achievements in Russian football. From 1993 to 1997, the team played in the Major League of the Russian Football Championship, and in 1996 reached the semi-finals of the Intertoto Cup. Today FC KAMAZ takes part in the Football National League (FNL) Championship.

The club's colors are blue and white, and the emblem, created in 1989 on the initiative of the first press attache Ramil Farrakhov, has become a symbol of its identity. In 1992, the team won in the “Center” zone of the First League of the First Division of the FNL, and in 2005 and 2008 they won bronze at the same championship. The USSR Second League of the Second Division brought the club gold medals in 1990, 2003, 2014/15 and 2020/21, as well as second place in the 2018/19 season and bronze medals in 2000, 2001 and 2013/14.

FC KAMAZ also won the Russian Cup in the 1993/94 and 1995/96 seasons. In 1987, the club won first place in the Tatarstan Cup, and in 2017 and 2018 - in the Football Federation Cup of the Republic of Tatarstan among PFL club teams. The club also regularly participates in the Tatarstan President's Cup.
