The return of Tinkoff of the Russian Premier League
According to the head coach of Zenit Sergey Semak, the team was preparing for the Tinkoff championship of the Russian Premier League taking into account the mistakes received in the cup match.
Zenit failed the first official match of the year- the team lost at home to Arsenal (1:2) and was eliminated from the Cup. Perhaps one of the main reasons is the absence of Barrios, Azmun, Malcom and Douglas Santos and it is difficult to train with a big minus, so you have to modify the training, and some work is impossible to do at all. Plus, the weather this year has a big impact on the preparation for certain matches.
The season is quite difficult, and it is difficult to work on mistakes when a squad that has not played in such a combination before comes on the field. However, the coach is sure that the work on mistakes, first of all, should be in the minds of both the players and the coaching staff
The meeting of the 20th round of Tinkoff RPL between Zenit and Rostov will take place on February 27. Sergey Semak believes that Rostov is a very balanced team that plays very aggressively. It's nice to play against such teams, they try to control the ball, try to act quickly, and also have confidence in their team. Therefore, you need to do your job one hundred percent at every moment, and then the result will be the one that is needed. In a single match, any result is possible, but if you do your job correctly, then during a long tournament, such as the Russian championship, the team will be where it deserves.
