Zenit-Riga: four confident goals from St. Petersburg
Both teams started the game at a dynamic pace. Zenit managed to keep the ball a little longer than their opponents. By the middle of the first half, the Petersburgers made several attempts to score a goal, to which "Riga" responded with a decisive retaliatory strike.
In the 34th minute, Zenit still managed to send the first ball into the opponent's goal. In the next attack, Wendel's long-range shot brought Peter another goal. At the break between the halves, the residents of St. Petersburg left in high spirits.
For the second half of the meeting, Zenit came out in an updated lineup. A few minutes after the start of the half, Erokhin was forced to leave the game due to an injury. In the second half, there was a noticeable decrease in the dynamics of both teams.
Until the 84th minute of the meeting, the teams slowly exchanged blows. Neither the residents of Riga nor the residents of St. Petersburg created a single tense moment. In the 84th minute, Andrei Mostovoy scored a goal against the citizens of Riga.
