The game started at a good pace from the very first minutes. Muscovites were ready to attack from the very beginning of the meeting, and to attack aggressively.
The first ten minutes of the match Zenit had to take a defensive position, but gradually they moved the game to the opponent's half of the field.
In the 15th minute, Dzyuba sent the first goal against Dynamo. For a while, the initiative was seized by the Dynamo players, but after showing a little perseverance, the Petersburgers took matters into their own hands again.
In the 33rd minute, Dzyuba sent the second goal into the opponent's goal.
The beginning of the second half was marked by skirmishes and intense struggle between the players of both teams. Almost in the middle of the second half, the coaches made small changes in both teams. Before that, the Muscovites managed to score one goal against Zenit.
Towards the end of the second half, Zenit managed to score the third goal against Dynamo. Until the end of the meeting, both opponents desperately tried to make more changes to the scoreboard readings, but this did not happen.
