English football clubs Manchester United and Tottenham have reached the 2024/25 Europa League final and will now face each other in the decider
Manchester United secured their place in the final after a confident 4-1 home win over Spanish side Athletic Bilbao in the second leg of their semi-final. The overall score was 7-1 in favour of the Red Devils, although the battle was not easy. Mason Mount scored twice for the Mancunians, while Casemiro and Rasmus Hoyland also scored once each. Mikel Haurenguisar scored the only goal for the Spaniards.
As for Tottenham, they dealt with Norwegian side Bodo-Glimt, winning both legs of the semi-final (3-1 and 2-0). The Norwegian team reached this stage of the tournament for the first time, but it turned out to be a difficult task to face the English club. Even the support of the home crowd did not help Bodo-Glimt to score at least one goal, while the English scored Dominic Solanke in the 63rd minute and Pedro Porro in the 69th minute, securing a 5-1 aggregate victory for their team.
It is difficult to determine the favorite between the two English teams in the upcoming final, as their strengths are approximately equal. The match between Manchester United and Tottenham promises to be exciting and full of unexpected twists, which makes it especially attractive for fans.
