The new opponent of the Russian national team in March has become known – our team will meet with Grenada

Little is known about the Grenada team. This team represents a small state, whose strength in football is comparable to the Brunei team, which the Russians defeated last year with a score of 11:0. In the FIFA world ranking, Grenada occupies 174th place, while Russia is in 34th place. Despite the significant difference in level, we have to be content with any friendly matches, because the Russian team is banned from participating in international tournaments.

Special attention should be paid to the Grenadian goalkeeper Rice Charles-Cook. This professional goalkeeper, who defends the colors of the Indy Eleven club from the US championship, has repeatedly saved his national team, successfully repelling the opponents' shots. He made his debut for Grenada in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers and has been a consistent performer ever since.

Prolific striker Darius Johnson is also a standout among the players. He has played for Queens Park Rangers, Tottenham Hotspur, Crawley Town and Oxford United. He was called up to the Grenada squad for the CONCACAF Nations League in 2023 and has now signed with Phoenix Rising FC.
