CSKA and Partizan will fight in Moscow for the Brotherhood Cup
Last year, Dynamo and CSKA competed for the prestigious award. Both Moscow clubs were celebrating their anniversaries back then – both celebrated one hundred years since their founding. Now the Cup has acquired new meanings of equality, brotherhood, beautiful competitive sport, which makes matches exciting and spectacular for loyal fans.
The final match of the Cup will be held at the high-class capital stadium VEB Arena, which can accommodate thirty thousand people. The arena has not only convenient infrastructure, the latest equipment and experience in holding events of a wide variety, including international level, but also a special atmosphere. All together, this will allow you to enjoy the intense match between the Russians and the Serbs.
As part of the Cup this year, OFC Belgrade, which has friendly relations with Dinamo, will play, and the other is Belgrade Partizan, a sister city our "army men". Both Serbian clubs have a very long history.
«Partisan» began its existence in the last year of World War II, which became the Patriotic War for the USSR. The founders were three officers of the Yugoslav People's Army - Koča Popović, Svetozar Vukmanović and Ratko Vujović. At that time, of course, there was, at first glance, no time for football. But people were so tired of the war that “Partizan” with his brilliant performances, he became a real outlet from the hardships he had experienced. Immediately after its founding, the team became the champion of the Yugoslav First League and won gold medals the following season. The fans ardently supported the newborn club, worried about the team and invariably tried to attend all of Partizan’s games. Gold "Partizan" in the end, he was never able to win; he was overtaken by Red Star. But silver and bronze became the eternal companions of the team of Yugoslav officers.
A trip to Russia for “Partizan” great luck – This is a healthy sporting enthusiasm before the match, and an opportunity to share with the fans your ability to make a beautiful game, and strengthening Russian-Serbian ties. The cultures of our countries have always been closely connected through Christianity. Even the Serbian language is much easier for Russians to learn, because there are so many common roots and sounds familiar to us. Russia has always been an ally for the Serbs, which is confirmed by such warm and friendly sports meetings within the framework of the Brotherhood Cup.
