The opening match of Euro 2024 will be held in Munich

A little more than six months remain until the main football event in Europe – Euro 2024 matches. This time the host country of the championship will be Germany. 11 cities in the country will become venues for Euroleague matches. The starting match, the opening match, will take place in Munich on June 14 at the Allianz Arena.

Before finally choosing eleven German cities, the tournament organizers put forward a new requirement for potential sites – sustainable development. According to it, the stadiums were conditionally divided into three clusters, between which the matches were divided so that teams and fans had to move as rarely as possible and cover as little distance as possible.

 The final match of the tournament will be held in Berlin and will be hosted by the famous Olympiastadion football stadium, where events of a similar format and level are not so rare. The final match will take place on July 14, 2024.

Final preparations for the games are in full swing. Cities and stadiums are preparing for an influx of fans, and teams are playing in the group stage. The next Group A match, which will be held within flight distance from Moscow – this is Galatasaray– Manchester United.
