Description

The history of the stadium began in 1955, the year the first units of the Zhigulevskaya hydroelectric power station were launched. The stadium was under construction until 1970, with the only stand (with a capacity of 1,500 spectators) and changing rooms being installed. The stadium hosted football matches of the city and regional championships.

In March 2005, the reconstruction of the Crystal Stadium began[2], which was supposed to be completed in 2008, but continued until 2015 and was completed only after the personal intervention of the Governor of the Samara Region Merkushkin[3].

In 2018, the Akron club began playing at the stadium in the Russian championship among football clubs of the third division. Since 2019, it has played in the PFL championship, and since 2020 in the first league.

In the spring of 2022, the Lada-Tolyatti club played at the stadium in the second division of the FNL. The Akron football club from Tolyatti played its home matches in the FNL at the stadium. The Lada-Tolyatti football team also played some matches in Zhigulevsk.

The stadium has a team building with stands for 3,010 people, two football fields with artificial grass, 5 athletics tracks, long jump sectors, a multi-purpose sports ground, a tennis court, gyms and fitness rooms.
