Description

Fisht Stadium in the village of Sirius, located in the Sochi Olympic Park, is a significant sports facility that attracts the attention of both sports fans and tourists. Built in 2013 for the XXII Winter Olympic Games, the stadium has become the venue for key sporting events. You can buy tickets on our website to attend various events, and the schedule and poster are easy to find on our resource.

Fisht Stadium became the epicenter of the 2014 Winter Olympics, where the opening ceremony took place on February 7, and on February 23 — closing ceremony. In March of the same year, the opening and closing ceremonies of the Winter Paralympic Games were held here. In 2018, the stadium hosted several FIFA World Cup matches, which underlines its international significance.

The name of the stadium comes from the mountain peak of the same name in the western part of the Main Caucasus Range, which translated from the Adyghe language means “white head”. The architectural design of the stadium combines the images of a shell and a snowy peak, making it unique. The stadium has four stands: two side stands, covered with translucent polycarbonate, and two end stands, open.

Fisht Stadium designed for 40 thousand spectators for the Olympic Games, 45 thousand spectators for international football matches and 25 thousand spectators for less significant events. Initially, the stadium had an interactive field with 120 projectors, but after reconstruction this field was replaced with a standard football field.

The stadium is located on the site of the former village of Marlinsky in the Imereti Lowland. Nearby is an ancient Old Believers cemetery, which was preserved during the construction of the stadium. This cemetery is hidden behind an opaque plastic fence and lined with evergreen thujas, which adds historical depth to the place.

Visit the Fisht stadium and immerse yourself in the atmosphere of significant sporting events. For the convenience of visitors, the schedule and poster of events are available on our website.
