Estadio Akron, located in the municipality of Zapopan, Jalisco, is a modern football stadium and home to the renowned Guadalajara Club, also known as Chivas. This impressive sports facility was inaugurated on July 29, 2010, in the presence of dignitaries, including the President of Mexico and representatives of international football organizations.
The stadium seats 49,850 spectators and offers a variety of comfortable viewing options, including VIP boxes and special areas for people with disabilities. Estadio Akron features natural grass and modern lighting systems, providing excellent conditions for hosting high-level matches.
The stadium's architectural design, reminiscent of a volcano, gives it a unique appearance and makes it an iconic landmark in the region. For the convenience of spectators, the stadium has two large LED screens and more than 800 plasma screens.
