Description
The Vazgen Sargsyan Republican Stadium, located in Yerevan, Armenia, is a multi-purpose sports arena with a capacity of 14,935, including 107 VIP seats. The fully covered stadium, originally known as Dinamo, was built in 1935 and renamed Hanrapetakan in the 1950s. In 1999, the stadium received its current name in honor of former Prime Minister Vazgen Sargsyan.
The stadium underwent several stages of reconstruction, completed in 2000, in order to meet UEFA standards. In 2008, the football surface and VIP facilities were improved.
